Captivate has developed an integration with EasyWorship to be able to broadcast your EasyWorship Schedule as live graphics to a supported video switcher for live stream. The capability includes the flexibility of being able to control the playout from within Captivate or from within EasyWorship on the same network. A full broadcast can be done at the same time as EasyWorship is broadcasting to your congregation inhouse. The following sections are arranged in the order in which to proceed.
Troubleshooting Tip: EasyWorship has a default setting displaying Live Output which can block controls on your system.
If the screen below blocking you from accessing Captivate, you can always disable this setting by going to Live > Uncheck Show Live Output.
Prepare your Graphics in Captivate
- Open a new project in Captivate.
- Navigate to the House of Worship folder in the Library.
- Drag and drop your desired graphics into the Layers Panel.
Note: If you have any graphic that will need to overlay another full screen graphic such as a lower third or bug, ensure that you place the overlaying graphic above the fullscreen graphic in the playlist.
Set up Remote Connection in EasyWorship
You will need to enable the Remote Connection in EasyWorship to your local network that is being used by Captivate.
- Please open your EasyWorship Schedule.
- Go to Remote > EasyWorship Remote > click Off to turn On.
Note: You may be prompted to download Bonjour Services by Easy Worship to Connect. If you do not receive a prompt and do not see Captivate in your devices menu already, please download Bonjour Print Services to allow Easy Worship to connect: https://download.info.apple.com/Mac_OS_X/061-8098.20100603.gthyu/BonjourPSSetup.exe
- Please download and follow the instructions to install.
- Within Easy Worship, NewBlue Captivate will then appear as an option to Pair with under Remote > Devices.
- Choose Pair to allow a connection to be established from EasyWorship to Captivate.
- In Captivate, go to the Data Controller Column of the Graphic layer you wish to connect to EasyWorship and Select a data source > Worship > EasyWorship > EasyWorship
This should fully connect EasyWorship as a data source and you should see your EasyWorship Schedule displaying in the EasyWorship Controller tab within the Layer Properties Panel. Please refer to the article Controlling your EasyWorship Playlist for slide configuration within Captivate.
Tip: Close your Graphics Library Panel if you would like more workspace for the Layers Properties Panel. You can always open the panel back up at any time by going to View > Graphics Library.
