Assigning Buttons for Project Navigation

Bitfocus Companion will directly control navigation on all basic operations and Play/Queue actions featured within Captivate(Titler Live).  Our team has developed preset, engaging, and identifiable icons with immediate feedback for a quick setup to operate the Layers panel from another system being mobile, tablet, or browser.

Setting Up Preset Layers Navigation Buttons

1. Have your Captivate(Titler Live) project open with all Channels and Layers setup for broadcast.

2. Navigate to the Buttons tab located in the top-center menu.

3. Find the Presets tab on the right side menu and Select NewBlue: Titler Live(Titler)Note: Do not choose Titler Live 4.

4. Select the Layers Navigation Button.

5. Drag and Drop the Preset Layers Buttons to your desired location on the Buttons Configuration Board.

6. Choose the Back button in the Presets Panel

7. Repeat Steps 4-5 for Layers and Playout

Test the action by selecting the button on the Button Configuration Panel which will open an Edit Button tab in the right side panel.  Pressing the Test actions button to play live in the Program Monitor of the Captivate(Titler Live) interface. You should receive feedback on the button itself as the action is activated, as well as, see your action occur in the Program Monitor of the Captivate(Titler Live) interface. 

TIP:   If you would like to customize your button text, navigate to the Play Layer presets > Feedback.  Delete the current entry and set to the desired button text.

AutoLive: Play currently selected layer on/off-air.

 

Queue: Manage queue for the currently selected layer.

Select Channel

Select a channel from your TL project. All Layers commands will be performed on the selected channel.

Play Layer

AutoLive: Play any particular Layer with a dedicated button


Queue: Manage queues for any particular Layer with a dedicated button

 

Button overlays change based on AutoLive or Queue state.

AutoLive: Clicking the Play icon next to a layer in Layers.

 

Queue: Clicking the circle button next to a layer in Layers.

All Off (Panic)

Takes all layers in all channels off-air.

Clicking “All off” button in Layers.

AutoLive

Toggle between Auto Live mode and “Queue” mode.

Layers and play action buttons will follow this state.

Play Action

Out and In

AutoLive: Play currently selected layer on and off-air with the specified action.
Queue: Execute specified action on Queue.

Presets are included for Auto, Auto-in and Take, but this action can be configured to use any action.

NOTE: Play action icons do not change to to AutoLive/Queue state since they execute actions.

AutoLive: Pressing spacebar to play the layer on/off-air.
