How can I fix "this product does not belong to this account" error?

When you purchase a product, it is automatically registered to the email address you used to complete the order.  If you used PayPal at checkout, it will be assigned to the email address associated with your PayPal account.  You will receive this error if you try to activate using another email address:

An error occurred activating serial number.

This product does not belong to this account. Please make sure that you are signed in using the same email that you used when purchasing this product.

You can resolve this problem by merging your accounts:

  1. Log into your primary account at www.newbluefx.com.
  2. Click the "Edit" link next to "Combine Accounts."
  3. Enter the username and password for the account you'd like to merge products from.
  4. Check the acknowledgement box and click "Save"
