Add and modify text

You can edit full paragraphs, strings of characters, and individual characters. You can also change the scale, position, kerning, and style of a character or string of characters.

Add text

  1. Open a graphic in Titler Pro.

    Tip: For details about using Titler Pro with a video editor, see one of the articles in the Add graphics to projects in your video editor section of our help center.

  2. Click the Add Text button at the top of the workspace and select Static text or Variable text to add a new paragraph.

    Tip: If you select Variable text and reuse this design in future sessions, you can customize the text from the Attributes > Scene tab. For more information, see Create variables in designs.)

  3. Double-click the new paragraph and enter the desired text.
  4. If you selected Variable text in step 2, click the Attributes > Object > Global tab and enter a name for the text variable in the field below the Text Variable checkbox. For more information, see Create variables in designs > Create text variables.

Customize paragraphs

  1. Open a graphic in Titler Pro.

    Tip: For details about using Titler Pro with a video editor, see one of the articles in the Add graphics to projects in your video editor section of our help center.

  2. Click a paragraph in the workspace or timeline. A green bounding box appears around selected paragraphs.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Select preset attributes from the drop-down list at the top of the Library panel.
    • Customize the paragraph with the settings in the Attributes panel.

  4. Click another area of the workspace to deselect the paragraph.

Customize characters

  1. Open a graphic in Titler Pro.

    Tip: For details about using Titler Pro with a video editor, see one of the articles in the Add graphics to projects in your video editor section of our help center.

  2. Double-click a paragraph in the workspace or timeline.
  3. To select one or more characters, do one of the following:
    • Click inside a paragraph and drag the pointer over one or more characters.
    • Press SHIFT + arrow keys to select one or more characters.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Select preset attributes from the drop-down list at the top of the Library panel.
    • Customize the paragraph with the settings in the Attributes panel.

  5. Click twice on another area of the workspace to deselect the characters and paragraph.
