How to use Detail Enhancer

Detail Enhancer increases the definition and sharpness of overly diffused footage. For example, fog, smoke, or even the natural light of an overcast day may appear to flatten objects and soften the contours of their shapes. Detail enhancer utilizes a unique algorithm to increase the contrast in areas where light and dark meet to emphasize details and make objects stand out from one another, similar to footage captured with a high dynamic range (HDR).

  • Apply the Detail Enhancer effect to a scene in your video editor.
  • Adjust the Strength value to change the intensity of the contrast between light and dark areas. A greater value creates more contrast.
  • Adjust the Definition value to change the width of contrast points. A greater value creates a broader halo at points of contrast.
