Import images and videos as design layers

When you customize graphics in the Designer, you can import images and videos, which you can scale, move, rotate, and customize with effects and transitions to further enhance your graphic.

Import images

The Designer supports PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, and TGA files.

Note: PNGs can include transparent backgrounds, but because PNGs are raster-based images, if they are extruded, they will be extruded as a rectangle regardless of transparency.

  1. In Titler Live's playout interface, select a graphic layer (i.e.Text or a shape) in the Layers workspace, then click the Edit Graphic button in the Preview panel. The graphic opens in the Designer's canvas.
  2. If you want to import an image into an existing layer, double-click a layer and move the cursor to where you want the image to appear. If you don't select a layer, the image will be imported into a blank area of the canvas as its own layer.
  3. Choose File > Import > Image.
  4. Select an image.
  5. Click Open.

Import EPS vectors

EPS vectors are ideal for pre-designed logos or shapes that you want to extrude to create three-dimensional depth. If a vector image includes more than one element, you can select and manipulate each element individually.

  1. In Titler Live's playout interface, select a graphic from the layers workspace, then click the Edit Graphic button from the Preview panel. The graphic opens in the Designer's canvas.
  2. If you want to import a vector into an existing layer, double-click a layer and move the cursor to where you want the vector to appear. If you don't select a layer, the vector will be imported into a blank area of the canvas as its own layer.
  3. Choose File > Import > Vector.
  4. Select an EPS vector file and click Open.

Tip: To extrude an imported EPS image, select the image and increase the Extrusion amount in Style Settings > 3D Face > 3D Controls.
