Add graphics to Wirecast productions

Titler Live lets you add graphics directly inside Wirecast with the Titler Live plugin or NDI.

Add a Titler Live graphic with the Titler Live plugin

Note: The plugin is automatically installed in Wirecast when you install Titler Live 5.

  1. Open Wirecast and click the Shot Tool wirecast-icon-add-shot.png icon in the Shot Selection area.
  2. In the Add Shot dialog, select Overlays, choose Titler Live, and click Add to add the shot to your bin.

    The properties panel opens for the Titler Live shot and Titler Live automatically opens, with a new playlist, in a separate window.

    Tip: If you close the Titler Live window later and want to re-open it, expand the options panel, click the Properties tab for a Titler Live shot, and click the Titler Live button.

  3. In the Titler Live window, add graphics to the channel that you want to include in your Wirecast production. For details, see Channel Panel Management.

    Tip: To add an additional Titler Live shot in Wirecast, repeat the previous steps for each additional Titler source that you want to add.

  4. Click the Titler source shot if it isn't already selected, then click the Go wirecast-btn-go.png button to make the graphic go live in Wirecast.
  5. In the Titler Live window, click the Play actions-btn-live.png button to broadcast the first graphic in your channel. The button turns red when a graphic is live.

    Tip: You can use Action buttons or Auto-live modes to customize the graphics' playback behaviors. For more information, see Set action behaviors.

  6. If the playlist includes more than one graphic, complete the following steps in Wirecast to play the next graphic in the list:
    1. Click Clear Layer next to the Titler Source shot. The current graphic will animate out.
    2. Click the Go wirecast-btn-go.png button to animate out the current graphic.
    3. Click the Go wirecast-btn-go.png button to broadcast the next graphic.

Add a Titler Live graphic via NDI

If you're licensed for a version of Titler Live , you can broadcast NDI feeds as discoverable NDI sources, which allows one person to remotely control the Titler Live source while another person controls the Wirecast interface.

  1. Open Titler Live and create a playlist of graphics that you want to include in your Wirecast production. For details, see Channel panel management.
  2. In Titler Live, set your output to NDI.
  3. Open Wirecast and click the Shot Tool wirecast-icon-add-shot.png icon in the Shot Selection area.
  4. In the Add Shot dialog, select Network, choose your Titler Live NDI Source, and click Add to add the shot to your bin.

    The properties panel opens for the Titler Live NDI shot.

    Tips

    • To add an additional Titler Live shot in Wirecast, repeat steps 3 and 4 for each additional Titler source that you want to add.
    • Titler Live Present and Sport allow only 1 channel of NDI; Broadcast allows up to 16 channels of NDI. Each channel can contain graphics, media clips, and live videos as layers for playback.
  5. In Wirecast, click the Titler source shot if it isn't already selected, then click the Go wirecast-btn-go.png button to make the graphic go live in Wirecast and enable the Titler Live operator to make real-time changes to the graphic.
  6. In Titler Live's Layers workspace, click the Play actions-btn-live.png button to broadcast a graphic. The button turns red when a graphic is live.
