If you're licensed for a version of Captivate, you can output graphics to supported SDI cards, which are listed below.
Important! Your SDI card or external device must have two or more SDI outputs and support key/fill output channels.
Output graphics to SDI
- In Captivate's playout interface, click the Outputs menu, choose SDI, and select Blackmagic or AJA.
Note: The SDI menu appears only when Captivate detects a compatible SDI card. If you have a compatible card and the card doesn't appear in the SDI menu, verify the SDI card's latest driver is installed on your computer.
After you select an SDI output, the Card Output Connections dialog opens, which looks similar to the following DeckLink example.
- From the drop-down list of SDI channels on the Channel Panel, select the SDI output that you want to assign to the channel.
- In Captivate's Layer's workspace, click a graphic's Play
button to broadcast the graphic to your SDI receivers.
The output from Captivate should now display in your SDI receivers.
Note: Please check your specific SDI card's HD Video Standards as not all the possible Project Setting options that are available in Captivate are always supported. Usually you will get an alert if the project settings you have assigned are not supported by the card itself. You will only be able to utilize the functionality of the card with the supported HD Video Standards set by the SDI card manufacturer.
