When you customize graphics in the Title Designer, you can customize the scale, position, kerning, and style of full paragraphs, strings of characters, and individual characters.
Note: The Title Designer and the features described in this article are not available in Titler Live Express.
What do you want to do?
Add text
- Open a graphic in the Title Designer.
- Click the Add Text button at the top of the Title Designer workspace and choose Static text or Variable text to add a new paragraph.
Note: Text variables can be updated by people or data sources when broadcasting a graphic. For more information, see Create variables in designs.
- Enter the desired text in the new paragraph.
Edit text
- Open a graphic in the Title Designer.
- Double-click a paragraph in the Title Designer workspace or timeline.
- Update the text in the paragraph.
Customize paragraphs
- Open a graphic in the Title Designer.
- Click a paragraph in the Title Designer workspace or timeline. A green bounding box appears around selected paragraphs.
- Do one of the following:
- Select preset attributes from the drop-down list at the top of the Library panel.
- Customize the paragraph with the settings in the Attributes panel.

- Click another area of the workspace to deselect the paragraph.
Customize characters
- Open a graphic in the Title Designer.
- Double-click a paragraph in the Title Designer workspace or timeline.
- To select one or more characters, do one of the following:
- Click inside a paragraph and drag the pointer over one or more characters.
- Press SHIFT + arrow keys to select one or more characters.
- Do one of the following:
- Select preset attributes from the drop-down list at the top of the Library panel.
- Customize the paragraph with the settings in the Attributes panel.

- Click twice on another area of the workspace to deselect the characters and paragraph.
